Where are best places in bolton to live? and where should i avoid moving to??

i am moving to Bolton in a couple of weeks time and i am looking a rent a house for 6months min, but i dont know Bolton and dont know when the bad bits are, any help would be great.

If you're moving to Bolton, stay at the Lodge.  It's right on the lake, close to everything.  My brother has land there you can buy, too.

The bad areas where the scum live(druggies,smelly people,and where you will get burgled):

Breightmet,

Hallith Wood,

Halliwell,

Dean Road,

Oldhams Estate,

Withins.

Safe areas:

Chorley New Road,

Bromley Cross,

Blackburn Road,

Moss Bank,

Merehall.

I lived in a house on Chorley New Road. It's overlooking a park, with lovely big houses. I expect it's changed a bit now, as this was some years ago. Might be a good starting point for you though.
