  1. I've seen them at several locations in the Chicagoland area and they are readily available.  Give the owner Jim a call at Tropaquatics in Lombard on Main about 4 blocks south of St. Charles Rd. and I'm sure he can get some for you if they don't have them is stock.  Scott's Pet Center on the north west corner of 31st and Wolf road in Westchester has them on occasion as well.  Mike is a great guy to speak with there and he's usually in.  Scott is the owner though not available very often, ask for Mike and he'll help you out.

Whomever you speak with let them know I recommended you call.  I'm in both places on a regular basis as a customer and active fish keeper of over 2,000 gallons.  You'll love these little puffers from India, they're a lot of fun and one of the few puffers that can be kept in a group.

  2. you can go to ebay.com too and you can also go to wal mart to buy dwarf puffers.

  3. Most Petsmarts should sell Dwarf Puffers for around $2.49.

However, make sure you have a cycled tank that is at least 3 gallons. Dwarf Puffers are very sensitive to water conditions, so this is why they need a cycled tank. Here's a website dedicated to DP's: http://www.dwarfpuffers.com/
