Where are fuel filters on 1996 chevrolet truck?

Right under the driver's seat inside the frame rail under the truck. Usally they're right close to the cross member.

joke of a ? to ask gm made more than one syle of truck next time statev what kind of truck cause gm puts  filter in different locations  on there trucks but matter  of fact the answers are a joke you got specially the one with a sock most techs  call it a strainer in the tank

follow the fuel lines fron the tank foward, you will see a steel cylinder about 2 inches in diameter and 3 inches long, should be a strap clamp to hold it to fram rail and flare nut type connectors. If I remember right 19mm and 16 mm on the nuts. Good luck.
