Where are good places to metal detect for coins?

I live in Northern Colorado and wonder if there are best places in general to look for coins using a metal detector. Thanks everyone!

Beaches are for sure the best. Everyone is always loosing change and stuff there. Also you could try parks around rich housing, you can never go wrong with rich people.

Head to your local touristy location.  If there are tourists there are always "found" items.

Are there any road projects in your area? Where there is excavation, there is a good chance of finding old coins. Also checking areas that are being prepared for building/development are another area to consider.
