Where are good places to work in austin that are entry level starting out around $18?

Since I moved to austin i have made no less then $2500 a month. Im not sure if your looking at the right entry level positions. my current position is entry level makeing $16.65 and i do nothing all day.

  1. $18 an hour to start?  Unless you have connections or a college degree you should be looking at $8 an hour positions.  If you feel you can qualify try applying at Dell or with the state.


  2. I have to agree with the previous posters for the most part.  Then again, there are a few jobs that not many people want to do.

    Like collections.  With the current economy, I would imagine that  this job would be in high demand.

    You might also be able to get on with some company looking for collectors through a temp agency.

    If it were me, though, I'd stick with the job I have, and try to save money elsewhere.

  3. Yeah, Austin is notoriously underpaid, especially for entry level positions.  There's a whole glut of recent college grads that will work for pretty much anything.
