Where are humans going?

it seems that humans are too carried away with culture at the present time. A person living in the US's goal in life is to become rich. At least it seems. And if thats not how it is, why does it seem that way? Shouldnt humans be working as a whole, together, on one common thing? What is the human race's biggest enemy? I've thought about this for a while and came out with a decision. our biggest enemies are ourselves (of course) and diseases. So how come humans dont comfront our main problems instead of messing around with these chemicals in their brains? Humans are just taken away by stuff that wont matter the world at all.

  1. for a smart species we are pretty stupid

  2. but people are idiots.  The whole question of human existence is  ultimately: how are these animals going to use the intelligence they never should have been given/acquired to finally and completely destroy themselves.  Looks like we're in for an exciting finish!

  3. we are all going down the drain, fast.

  4. I hear ya. Americans, in general are mostly interested in spending money on entertainment...cell phones, tv, tivo, satelite this and that...Im guilty of it too.

Ive been very concerned about the human race lately too. I switched jobs and work downtown now. Im confronted daily, by mentally ill ( I suppose) homeless types. Some just sit there, wish me a nice day and I keep walking. But I cant help thinking "where does she go to the bathroom" or worse, Im a woman, so I think of 'the monthly'. These women cant be safe in shelters, they are full of drunk/drugged or generally whacked out men.

I wish everyone could just calm down and pay attention to people around them, help them, just be kind and generous....I dont know, dont give up!
