Where are majority of woolen shawls made in India?

I wish to open a retail woolen products outlet so I need to know.

I don't believe there are any sheep maintained in the fashion sheep for wool need to be. Also any local type of sheep there may be there would not be in retail at all, It would be my guess any type of wool found on a sheep in India I beleve would be very expensive therefore not sold for retail bit purchased by buyer waiting to purchase at the collection point. There I would answer your I would say Northerd India closer to the mountains (the Himilayas)

They are most probably made in Kashmir. If you are talking about non-woolen Shawls then they are made in Solapur, Maharashtra.

Good quality woollen Shawls are made in Jammu & Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh. Parts of Punjab also make woollen shawls of medium range.
