i was just thinking to myself why do our hero's hurt us more then they help, all my life i watched Michael Jordan run down the court till he decided to retire i was sad but i got over it but when he came back and played for the bull's again i didn't think i could be happier, but then eventually he retired again, then i heard of another come back i was so excited i grabbed my jersey and threw it on and walked around all over the place with it on, then to hear that he would be going to the wizards i sat down and stared at my jersey wondering why anyone could do this to a kid i was in maybe 6th or 7th grade at the time, I've since realized his love for the game brought him back, but who wouldn't keep him on the bull's? Now i stare at another jersey of future hall of fame player brett favre with his stats and his amazing ability to make the crowd go nuts with the impress season last year how could the green bay packers kill hopes inside children's hearts, I'm older now but it still hurt, i hope there isn't a kid out there feeling like i did when Jordan did this, now that favre has done it, who knows who else can do it to us, i just want to know if anyone is as hurt as i am over their hero's dropping their familiar colors (green and gold, Or Red) to pick up new one's just because the owners of the leagues only care about money.

  1. The players all know that sports is a business. And if a player comes out of retirement, such as Brett Favre, it's often not because they want more money. It's because they have an intense love and passion for the game they play.

With Michael Jordan, when he retired from basketball he went to play baseball because it was his father's long-time wish for Michael to play baseball. But he came back to basketball because he loved the game.

If these athletes are really heroes to children, which I'm sure they are, Brett Favre has been my favorite player since I was two years old, then the children will still look up to these players no matter what they do or if they play for a new team.

Brett got traded to the Jets, by the way.

  2. lol is that weed good?

  3. Pro athletes shouldnt be heroes or role models for any youth.  All you see is what they do on the field. Not sayin MJ and Favre arent upstanding men but you really have no idea who they are as people no matter how much sports illustrated you read or espn you watch.  Find someone in your everyday life to look up to and you will find yourself not asking silly questions like this at all. The guy loves the game thats why he came back again simple as that.  Wasnt about money if it was he would have taken the 20 million from Green Bay and went back home to mississippi to ride his four wheeler.  He was traded to the Jets btw not the Eagles I know that green and white gets confusing sometimes.

  4. Dan Marino is retired

Walter Payton is playing football with G-d

    Roger Staubach is retired

You may never see Brady or Manning outside of a Patriots or Colts uniform, respectivily.

  5. k first brett farve didn't go to the eagles he went to the jets. second i didn't think its that bad they switch teams there still the same people and the same athlete does it make them bad people cuz they didn't want to leave the game they love so they went with who ever would take them? michael jordan is amazing and at the time that seemed like the best decision for him same with farve. thats life THINGS CHANGE you do alot better when you except that and move on and just remember them for the things they did well!

  6. When did Brett get traded to Philly?....

Sorry, can't take your question seriously when you open with an inaccurate statement..
