  1. The best place to go to get a job is family/friends.  Usually knowing someone is the best way to get a job.  Word of mouth is often times more powerful than a really good resume (which obviously you don't have, since you're just in high school) and a good education (again, you're just in high school so that wouldn't be applicable to you).  See if you know anyone that could talk to someone they know to get you a job.  You may not want to, and you may not like the job, but a job is a job, and if it's only a few hours a day, you should be able to handle it no problem.  Newspapers aren't the best place to look for jobs, at least not anymore, and neither is the internet.  Everyone has to start somewhere.  I hope you find a job, and one that suits you!

  2. Try some of your local grocery stores. They are always looking for teenagers who are willing to work. Market Baskets are usually the stores that hire the youngest kids. Stores such as Shaw's usually don't hire until the age of 16. If you can prove to an employer that you are hard working then you should have no problem getting a job.

    Good luck!
