  1. generally in primitive dirt.


  2. usu between the temperate and equatorial regions. this is within the climatic region where human can survive with less warm clothings/skin/fur as those days sewing was yet to be known.   mammoth were found in siberia which shows that their hairy skin  couldnt take the cold.  

    civilization usu centred around river valleys / coastal regions. hence the indus / hwangho / nile / amazon / euphrates were places were fossils can be found.  africa has alot of such things but owing to density of jungle/unexplored area it will take some time to excavate.  java is another place.  there r many more unexplored places
