Where are some cool chill places to hang out at in the Bay Area ?

Hi,

I was wondering if someone could help me. See recently I had to say goodbye to some people in my life that I thought were friends but turned out not to be. I'd like to start going out, meeting new people, and hopefully making some new friends but don't really know where to go. Music is my passion, but I also love poetry and anything else thats creative. If anyone wouldn't mind helping me out with some suggestions of cool places to check out in the bay area I'd truly appreciate it.

i've never been to the bay area but would eventually like to visit. there are there is a place in specific i'd like to go to, cafe du nord 'cos they have live music and art shows. you should go on myspace and check peeps out there, see where they go and check out those places.

the waterfront in rodeo on week end nights is a great place to hang

Go to Dolores Park (on guerrero between 19th st. and 18th st.).

Especially since the weather is getting really nice, there is all kinds of people up there! Playing music, picnicing, relaxing and whatever. There are also little cafes right around. It's a great spot with a really good view too.
