I watch the show "A Haunting" almost everyday and I am so interested in this stuff. I just want to hear a noise or where can you go to hear EVP's? That is just awesome!! Well, fascinating. Or any websites that I can look up haunted houses on. Thanks!

  1. I like the web site below.

That said please let me say that there is no haunted house or paranormal activity that will perform on demand.

So, there is no place that you can go that you will be certain to experience activity, pick up EVPs are anything else.

In fact places with reputations for consistent activity usually have a normal explanation (replication makes experiments easier) and their reputation comes about through Urban Legends.

This is not to say that I don't believe in paranormal activity because I do but as an active investigator for many years I am aware of how rare it is for such activity to take place at any location (especially when your looking for it and prepared to capture evidence).

Good luck in your quest. I have included some links below for you. Please post and let us know about your experiences (if anything happens or not)

  2. Wolf Mansion in Portage, Lake Eliza, Indiana Dunes.

Where specifically do you live?  I lived in Valpo all my life, I know where they all are.

This house was the site of Indiana’s most atrocious murders. A man came home after a tough day at work and snapped. He decapitated his entire family and placed their heads on fence posts. Before police arrived, the man shot himself in the mouth. Today, the house is haunted. Many have seen heads strewn throughout the house upon first glance only to later see them disappear.

Altho the story is not the full one of the Wolf Mansion, I do know of the story starting with Joseph, his father & his children.  I have been there personally.

There is also an abandoned Summer camp out by the dunes.

Valparaiso University is another haunted place there.  On Locust ST. by VU has houses that are haunted & the cemetary near VU, behind Locust ST.  Has had reports of seeing "ghosts" & apparitions

In Chesterton, there is an abondoned farm land that has nothing but an old corn crib that is haunted.  There is also an old bridge out there that is over a set of tracks.  If you set on the bridge you will sell ghost lights & if your lucky a ghost train will pass under the bridge.

I have many places out there.

Ressurection Cemetary is a famous sight in chicago.

  3. If you're in the Chicago area, try Bachelor's Grove cemetery. It's really the Mecca of ghost hunters in the Midwest. It's in the town of Midlothian, a west suburb of Chicago. Be aware that it is presently part of a forest preserve, so the place is supposed to closed at dusk. If the cops catch you there after dusk, you could get in a bit of trouble. That doesn't stop most people though. Have fun.

  5. This website is good too.  Bachelor's Grove Cemetary is considered on of the most haunted places in the area.  Be super careful if you go, it is not a healthy energy.  And the police and park district really watch it because kids party there.  The lagoon behind the Museum of Science and Industry is considered a hot spot.  Indian Dunes is also said to have a frequent apparition.
