Looking for some fun places to take my wife out for a date. We live in the Spring area, but would be willing to go anywhere in the Houston area.

  1. Check the yellow pages to see if they have any indoor shooting ranges-------you can teach her how to protect herself and be your back-up--------or how about Miniature Golf?

  2. There are a bunch of nice restaurants downtown (go to citysearh.com) or you could go ice skating in the Galleria or to Dave and Busters, or Sky Bar...there are a bunch of nice, fun and romantic places in Houston!

  3. Mi Pueblito 1423 Richmond Ave. Houston, TX (lower Richmond) voted best patio in the city.   Moderately priced Tex-Mex food.

    -ROMANTIC-

Michelangelo's, average Italian food,  but the ambiance is spectacular.  (A hugh tree grows in the dining room). -ROMANTIC-

Alamo Draft House Cinema for dinner and a movie---always fun!

Picnic at the Japanese Gardens in Hermann Park - VERY ROMANTIC-

    Enjoy!

  4. Crappitto's Italian Restaurant in the Galleria, yes, the restaruant is called Crappitto's, but don't be put off by the name. It is by far the best, and most romantic restaurant in Houston.

  5. Slick Willie's in downtown Houston is a nice fun place to go play pool then you can go down the stairs and eat at the Hard rock cafe or the Italian restaurant but i don't remember the name of it sorry.     :)

Right by the Verizon wireless theater if that helps lol

  6. There are some great places to go for date nights in Houston.  After all, we are the #1 city this year for place to live/play in US.

    Restaurants:

    * Melting Pot - This is a chain resutaurant, one on Westheimer and another at Woodland (near Sam's).  This is one of my favorite place to go, with great fondu style self cooking, nice and slow and romantic, with lots of time to talk and slowly cooking; also a bit dark so romantic; nice wine list and good food selection

    * Pesce's - great seafood restaurant, good atmosphere; West Alabama and Kirby

    * Vic and Anthony's - one of the best steakhouse in Houston and the one that is more romantic (the other ones I like are Pappa's steakhouse and Fleming); good ambience, great waiting staff, tend to be quieter than others; with a nice hotel across the parking lot - Inn's at Ballpark, great place to stay; next to Minute Maid Park - dinner, baseball game, then hotel date?

    Places to go:

    * Cova's Wine Bistro - good wine selection with lots of wine by the glass, as well as good appetizers/tapas style there. Nearby Rice Village is fun, as well as Hermann Park/museum district. Kirby at Sunset. The wine bar at Woodland (Cru) is OK - I'd pick Cova over Cru anytime

    * Central Market - hmmm... Actually, the one near Galleria (Westheimer and Weslyan) have cooking classes that are fun, with special chef guests teaching, hands on, cooking; you and the spouse learn to cook together, then EAT what you just cooked; also can go and buy some of the stuff home to cook for next few nights and extend your dates; lots of shopping around that area as well

    * Wortham Center - whether opera or ballet or symphony, they seve excellent food a la carte, OK shopping, and always cultured entertainment; you can also go across the street for pretty food dining (Italian, Japanese, American)

    * Kemah Waterfront - good waterfront, all-in-one place with OK restaurant and Ok hotel, definitely a change from Spring

Congrats on having a night off and have fun

  7. Take her to the the Alley Theatre or go to Jillian's. Both are lots of fun!

  8. Sambuca, The cheesecake factory, Kemah boardwalk.
