  1. Hi Billy!,

This is not possible, because this country is to dangerous for traveling. So tell your boss to look for the Dominican Republic, nicer and safer....

  3. I lived in Haiti for 2 years and I even speak French and Creole... and there is NO WAY I would go back to that island now with all the crime and unrest.  If you absolutely MUST go there... then don't miss the Citadel outside of Cap Haitian or the commercial Voodoo Peristyle in Port-au-Prince.

You can visit the old police blockade at Douvlierville and the sacrificial pool where thousands of Tianos were killed by the Spanish and their bodies dumped into the waters.  You can look at the hills that have been stripped clean of vegetation so the Haitians can make charcoal... which smells up the whole country... and if you are lucky you can witness the riots in downtown P-au-P near the Round Point  and even visit that beautiful city by the sea called Citi Soleil where you can have your sight and senses enriched by the local culture.

From Citi Soleil, you can travel on to the Iron Market where the sights and sounds of the Haitian experience can enter your thoughts.. never to leave again.  OH... and that "U" shaped drain that runs down the center of the street that looks and smells like an open sewer... really IS an open sewer... so if you accidentally step in it... that is an automatic tetanus shot.

OH.. there IS the Baptist Mission above Peytonville and it's on the way to the Barbencort Distillery...
