Where are some nice, cheap places to eat out on the Gold Coast?

We sometimes go there for the day and it would be nice to buy a meal that doesn't cost the earth.

I would have to say besides Mcdonalds, would be the pub counter meal, the sporting clubs etc.

Believe me they have got the best beaches but the worst food. Don't eat cheap on the Gold Coast you will pay for it in other ways. (lived their for 4 years and worked hospitality) Although La Porchetta is ok but inconsistent. Have fun!!!

all i can say is that the restaurants on the gold coast suck! ive only found one i like which is a Japanese place called shogun,but its not that cheap,only other suggestion would be the gold coast R.S.L not a bad feed and pretty good price
