  1. There are many great locations. Rocky Gorge and Trideplhia Reserviors (requires WSSC permit $3 day or $30 year per person over 16) water level is several feet down right now at Rocky Gorge (yesterday). Centenial park in Columbia is also good but a lot of the bass are small there (trophy bass regulations there). The Upper Potomac is also fairly close, as well as the obvious Chesapeake Bay. There are also some smaller parks with good oportunities (Greenbelt Lake, Lake Artemesia, etc).

  2. rocky gorge reservoir laurel lake and also try fishing on the chesapeake bay

  3. If you fish at Laurel Lake - watch out for the rats running around the shore at night - lots of them.

Severn Run is a stream out near Ft. Meade / Glen Burnie that has trout in it  Just off 32.

You can catch some nice fish the the Wildlife Preserve but you need to get a permit.  It used to be free...

Also we used to go fishing at a lake in Columbia that had trout in it.

Go to Wal-Mart or KMART or online and look for the Marlyand Atlas /Gazeteer it s large red map book like one of the ADC map but it's red. It has all of the bodies of water near and around Maryland and DC and what fish you can catch and also if there is anything like a baitshop or campground or picnic area near it too.  Also does the same thing for hunting...
