  1. Google "Theory or Evolution" to get sites supporting it and Google "Creationism" to get sites opposing it.

  2. Evolution is a scientific theory. For a theory to be scientific it must be able to think of some sort evidence that would prove it to be false. The theory of evolution has been around for hundreds of years and no contradictory evidence for the general idea has been found. In addition scientific theories also suggest that the earth has been around for millions of years and life has been evolving for a very long time

This clashes with the beliefs of some religions, in particular certain fundamental Christian religions that believe that the earth was created by God in 4004BC. Also that God created all the animals needed at the time. This leads to conflicts with the scientific theories, firstly how long the earth has been around and how long it would take animals to evolve. Secondly fossils suggest that there were animals around at one time that are no longer around. Religions that say the earth was created in 4004BC often say that these were animals not taken on board Noah's ark.

Because religion cannot be taught by the state in the USA, some religious people have tried to create something called Creation Science so they can have their beliefs taught under the guise of science, Scientists do not consider Creation Science to be a true scientific theory because it says God made things this way - there is no way to think of evidence that contradicts it, whatever you find, God made it that way.

People who believe in things strongly create web site promoting their views that is why you find both sorts of web site.

Many scientists are religious and indeed many are Christian, just not the sort of Christian that believes the world was created in 4004 BC.

More generally just because someone puts something on a web page doesn't make it true. (Some people genuinely believe things that most people do not, other less pleasant people may tell outright lies.)
