  1. Hunter Valley sounds like the place you should go...do the wine tours!

  2. Newcastle and the Hunter Valley - Good food and Wine, try breakwater pizza, it is to die for.

Wollongong/Shellharbour - Plenty of beautiful beaches and places to go riding, Coolongatta has a lovely winery and good food all around, try the Lagoon seafood restaurant and Ocean Beach Hotel.

  3. Blue Mountains is 2 hours out of Sydney, stay in Katoomba or Leura for the best hotels with fine dining available and romantic atmosphere. Mountain Heritage has romantic weekend specials. There are lots of bike trails and walking trails in the area. Great dining stay at Yorks Fairmont Resort, Carrington, Lillianfels or go to Solitary Restaurant. The Jamison Valley views can give inspiration for anything..hehehe.

  4. Theres alot of places..

    Newcastle.

    Woolongong

    Kiama..

    Conjola

  5. Wooow!!

A bike ride to Wollombi is one you will never forget - go via Wisemen's Ferry.  A stop off at the Wollombi Tavern is a must.  Then head on to Pokolbin, flip a coin and go to one of the many wineries.  Tintilla Winery is lovely and the staff there really know their wines and have a really good knowledge of the area so they can advise you where to go to get a nice feed or probably to stay as well.  We where there a couple of months ago and we couldn't recommend them highly enough.  I think the woman's name there was Winn,  or maybe Lynn, she is really lovely and very helpful.

The pub at Wisemans is pretty alright too for a feed.

Have you done a ride through Kuringai Park.  (Between Church Point and Terry Hills )  Its really nice.  You can go out to Bobbin Head and have breakfast then head out to Wisemans Ferry, have lunch at the pub, then make your way up to Wollombi, buy some Dr. Jurds Jungle Juice, hire a room for the night.  Then  the next day head on up to Pokolbin.

A trip out to Mudgee is nice on a bike too.

Out and around the Blue Mountains.

Why not head towards Bathurst and do a few laps on the circuit, thats a bit of a buzz if your into that sort of thing.

Do the south coast, on the coast road, through Coaldale and go over the road built out along the coast.  That would be unreal on a bike!  Continue down to Ulladulla or Bega, there are alot of lovely place down that way.

Hope you have fun, stay safe.

  6. try the Southern Highlands, a popular place for both bike riding and dining out and this time of year the area is absolutely spectacular!! try Bowral, Berrima, Moss Vale, Mittagong, Robertson, and Bundanoon. check sites below for more details

  7. All of the places mentioned are fine particularly the Hunter Valley for a wine lover. If you head south of Sydney to a town called Sussex Inlet go a little further south to a hamlet called Berrara I believe you'll be inspired no matter the time of year. When we recently stayed at an amazing property called 'Talisman' not only did we awake to view kangaroos grazing on the lawn but also watched as an echidna walked up and burrowed next to us. A beautiful, relaxing spot right on the water.

  8. Port Stephens is a great place for the weekend. At certain times of the year you can go whalewatching - I believe its in June

  9. Foster Tuncurry

    Newcastle

    Hunter Valley
