Where are the 'two' garages at Alewife - and is it always horrid getting out at night?

I'm only aware of one garage, and the private lot directly at the end of the travel lane (where you go either right up the curved ramp to level 4) or left (into the main garage entrance) only takes a limited number of people - although they do charge only $5. As for getting out - it took me almost 20 minutes yesterday to get out of the garage - to get in line to get onto the ramp to Rte 2. This is a new commute for me, and I think I'll kill myself if I have to go through this every day.
