  1. The Embarcadero, Montgomery, Powell, and Civic Center BART stations are in San Francisco proper near a lot of tourist things and business things.  16th Mission, 24th Mission, Glen Park, and Balboa Park are the other BART stations in the city.  It's a pretty good system although to really get EVERYWHERE in the city, you would have to use the MUNI bus system too.

  2. Only one of the BART lines goes into SanFran.

    It follows Mission Street as far as the Castro then turns to 16th street and then along the south side to Daly City.

    There is a second rail transit system in SanFran called the Muni Metro.
