Dravidian peoples refers to the peoples that natively speak languages belonging to the Dravidian language family. Populations of speakers are found mostly in southern India. Other Dravidian peoples are found in parts of central India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan

Dravidians are supposed to be the earlier settlers of India and were driven south of India by the so called Aryans when they invaded India and have settled down in south India consisting of the present Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu of the present India. There are still some political parties with the nave 'dravida' in them. So the presen occupants of these states are called dravidians.
