Santa Teresa beach, pacific coast of Costa Rica. It's a surf paradise, not too crowded, shoes are optional (lol), u can get a room for as low as $8 a night, wonderful night life, everybody is friendly and always smiling.

Costa Rica has absolutely amazing beaches. Both the east and west sides of the country are on water, so you can pretty much find anything that you are looking for. The Guanacaste region in the Northwest is great for surfing. There is also a very small surf town that is called Montezuma. It is AMAZING. Getting there can be a little bit of work, but it is totally worth it. Also, is you visit Bocas del Toro, Panama, you can take different tours that will take you to some of the most amazing beaches ever.
