g*y Bar - Bar Soho. It's nice enough to have a good drink and not loud enough to give you a headache!

g*y Club - G-A-Y at the Astoria is the best. Google for their website and it'll give you info. A little bit of advice... find a flyerer and get one for the club, BIG DISCOUNTS!!!

As with anything in life, it all depends on what you're after.

For clubs, probably the most obvious is G.A.Y., just opposite Centre Point on Tottenham Court Road. But this is the one people either love or hate. It's very cheesy, and very straightforwardly g*y - everybody looks beautiful and there isn't much variety in the talent, if that's what you're looking for. But a fun time, nonetheless.

Heaven (under the arches by Embankment or Charing Cross tubes) is much more clubby, with loads of rooms, great dance music, and some top DJs lining up to play there. Drink isn't too expensive, and there's quite a varied crowd, though definitely at the hardcore clubber end of things.

The other most obvious place is Popstarz, at Scala by Kings Cross. This bills itself as the alternative g*y scene, and whilst it's now quite trendy, the music is a bit more indie (and a bit less pop-diva!) and the crowd very varied and inclusive. You can probably guess that this is my favourite!

On thing to be added is that all three are in quite cool building architecturally, so don't miss this as you look around. They're quite impressive, and it's nice to see what people have done with old buildings, though that often isn't on people's minds!

As to bars, there are LOADS in Soho, again with a good variety. The Box by Seven Dials is quite fun (though expensive), and the Yard bar on Rupert Street is also quite a favourite. But again, there are so many, you might as well try a few - they're all in walking distance, so if you're not having fun, move on!

I was reading this press release that listed the top 10 g*y bars globally and this one in London was number one... haven't been there myself but it looks awesome!
