I love to photography and trains. Where should I go to do both? Are there any rail yards with access to allow photography?

  1. Check out the Abbot Yard that the old TGS ( Trans Global Sevices also known as AUAR used to be )  I think the new freight operatior, ( AWR ) is using it.now.

You will find it down road from the McNiel Diamond.

Be careful about trespassing. There should be locomotives, and maintainence equipement there.

I would go to the interlocker at McNiel.  We have over 20 UP freights and a fair number of AWR freights rolligng through there a day.

Mopac at Sneed is a good place to find freights on the siding .  For the Mcinel diamond, take Mopac north -

Head to Mcniel, you will find it near the lime kilns.
