  1. Go to government house in Bangkok and protest against the government.  Also bring your golf clubs so you can hit some cop on the head when he tries to enter.  Your safer in Iraq.  Stupid Thais are destorying this country.

  2. depends on where you want to go.

the beaches down south in phuket and krabi are gorgeous - pattaya is sleazy though.

if you want mountains, you want to go north to chiang mai and stuff, theres whitewater rafting there

    trekking - Khao Yai.

Most tourists go to the Isan area too for the culture, food, etc.

in bangkok weve got red light districts, shopping - upscale malls & markets, and the temples.

and its perfectly safe...they're protesting against the governemtn. why should they do anything to YOU?

jesus christ people need to chill.

  3. I love Phuket. It is the biggest island in Thailand, and there are several excellent beaches. The waters are usually clear and very good for diving.

As long as you avoid the usually crowded Patong and Karon beaches on the west coast, you can easily find remote beaches for walking, jogging, or just relaxing. There are not many sights to speak of on the island, but perhaps that makes it all so relaxed.

Two of the main attractions near Phuket are the Phi Phi Islands and the Phang Nga Bay, with the so-called James Bond Island. The name comes from The Bond film "Man with The Golden Gun" which was partly filmed on this small island. There is a good choice of organized day trips from Phuket to both the Phi Phi Islands and Phang Nga Bay.

Ocean activities are the biggest draw for tourists in Phuket. Courses and equipment are available at most major beaches for scuba diving, Scuba diving as well as snorkeling in the lagoons with coral reefs. You can find plenty of good dive sites all around Phuket (shark point, anemone reef, etc.) but there are some world class dive sites you don’t want to miss for any reason. You can join a 5 days live aboard to the Similan Islands , a natural reserve where you can spot wales sharks and manta rays. There is also the number one spot in the Andaman sea, Hin Daeng , situated just few hours of speed boat from Phuket. It is important to notice than coral reefs were left mostly untouched by the 2004 tsunami.

You can rent wind surfboards, dinghies, canoes and yachts from many locations for those interested in boating. For a more colorful adventure you can explore the limestone caverns of Phang Nga Bay on guided tours in inflatable canoes.

While scuba diving is probably one of the most popular activities in Phuket, the island also offers many opportunities for more land-oriented outdoor activities such as mountain biking through the western range of the island. Guided horseback tours are also a relaxing way to go sightseeing. Phuket also has a few beautiful golf courses that were built on the remains of the tin mines that first brought industry to the island.

  4. Bangkok or Krabi. Bangkok for the fantastic shopping bargains and Krabi for the best water experience.

I just came back from Bangkok and had brought back with me two extra lagguages of new clothes! :D

If you're going to Bangkok, remember to go to Platinum Plaza for wholesale prices. MBK centre for Teen stuff and during the weekends, you HAVe to go to Chatuchak for the best of everything! (It will be super hot and crowded but i love it)

For food, you have to go to their Chinatown for the best best best local food. It's spicy but totally worth it. Plus, it is so cheap. You can go there at 2am and they will still be open.

You should really take taxi everywhere instead of the tuk-tuks because they tend to cheat tourists and bring you to someplace else.

The cheapest hotel in bangkok is Centre Point Petchpuri at Soi 15. They have the biggest rooms at the cheapest rate and is totally stayable.

Alright now, for Krabi, any hotels will offer services to bring you out to the little islands that have great beaches and waters. You have to try. You can scuba dive, feed the fishes and tan. At the beach beside the hotel itself, you can do things like jet ski which is very fun if you ask me! You can take a bus to the town but they will not have much shopping, just really yummy food.

I get so excited because i love thailand and you should really go! :D

  5. Any place in Isan.  Our motto "Come to Isan and smell our clean air."

And there are absolutely no protests or protesters in Isan, they were all paid to go to Bangkok.  Also if they ever do close our airports it will only be about an hour cause we only get one flight a day.

  6. come to bangkok ... the motto is " come and spent all your money and and get the smell of our Oyster " LOL..

  7. City Life : Bangkok

Beach/Resort life: Phuket or Koh Samui

but the protest against government is serious and on-going right now...

pls keep an eye before you plan.
