To find a troupe you might want to start by checking with a gym or recreation center in your area. Sometimes they have dance classes, and those teachers may also have a troupe under their direction.

You can e-mail or call some of the dance instructors to find out more information on troupes in your area.  Some instructors in the links have websites that you can check for upcoming performances by their troupe.

In Tucson the only real belly dance troupes I can name off the top of my head are Midriff Crisis (http://www.midriffcrisis.com/ ) and Elemental Artistry. I have been familiar with the belly dance community for almost half a decade because I dated a belly dancer for a year and a half and one of my best friends happens to be in one of the groups I mentioned above.

Generally, they don't have a set performance schedule or do regular shows. I would contact the individuals from each troupe and ask them where they are performing. If you are lucky, you can catch them on Tuesday nights at Reid Park at the south-west corner near Country Club and 22nd St. It usually starts around 8:30 or 9:00 and they share the space with the SCA fighters. You might also want to call Aladdin's restaurant to see if they will be having any dances there. I think the belly dance community in Tucson could be better and more unified, but most of the groups want to do their own thing or incorporate different elements to make themselves stand out.
