  1. any restaurant with seating outside will get you great wine and great ambience

  2. Just about everywhere ! lol

  3. But where in France? The bars and cafes with pavement tables are great. The ones with famous names  and/or great views are considerably more expensive as a rule. Drinks cost more if you sit at at table than stand at the bar - usually.

The great brasseries in Paris (La Copoule is one) are fascinating and have a wonderful atmosphere. Really just walk around and try what you see.

  4. Everywhere, i dont know understand your question ?!

To drink a glass of soft drink, to drink wine, to drink champagne, to go to club ?

  5. I can't tell you about all of France but here are some suggestions for Paris.

Polly Magoo at 35 rue St. Jacques (5th arr.) has lost some of the edge it had since it moved up the street and became better known to respectable people but its still has a slight air of the sinister. A favorite of many a hard drinking ex-pat.

Le Mazet at 61, rue Saint-Andre-des-Arts (6th) is where Jim Morrison had his last drink. This used to be my favorite hangout in Paris in the days when it was the bar of choice for street musicians who would store their instuments in the back room and convert their daily take of coins into bills. Guys like Morrison would drop in and there was always an impromptu jam session going on. Its gone a bit upscale but still a nice place.

Le Taverne de Nesle at 32, rue Dauphine (6th) is only a few blocks from the heavily touristed bright lights of the Boulevard St. Germain but tends to be filled with students from the nearby School of Art.  A great place for relaxed drinking.

Aux Trois Mailletz at 56 rue Galand (5th) is my currrent favorite hangout. A piano plays and various people sing (sometimes I'm one of them). the music ranges from pop to jazz to opera.
