Pintxos (tapas) @ Cafe Bar Bilbao in Plaza Nueva in Casco Viejo. The prices are reasonable, the pintxos are tasty, there's a great atmosphere, and the guys behind the bar are friendly. My other American friends and I would go there every Tuesday evening.

Or H20 bocadillos (sandwich shop), 1-3 blocks east of the Deusto Metro station (Lehendakari Aguirre exit, if I remember correctly. Just follow the Deusto University students for the right exit.) The "bocadillo de pollo con lechuga y tomate" (chicken, lettuce, and tomato) is really good. We'd go there for lunch once a week between classes.
