  1. There is a really nice italian in westhoughton called casa nostra (if thats what you like)

  2. Hi, I live in Horwich and there are some fabulous places to eat around here.  If you like Indian food them Mumbai along Chorley New Road is fantastic.  Oh yum just thinking about it is making me want to go there.

Inkaa along Lee Lane is fabulous.  Though it's a little on the expensive side.  It's a place where you definitely need to book first as gets very busy, and if it's the weekend you want to go book well in advance.

My favourite Chinese is Abacus on the middlebrook in the same building as the cinema.  Though if you are looking for a cheap meal weekdays before 7pm then the Chinese along Winter Hey Lane do a nice cheap menu.

If you like Greek then Sokrates along Winter Hey Lane is very nice too, and has a nice atmosphere.  Love the Meze starters.

If you like Thai food then if you drive from Horwich towards Bolton along Chorley New Road there is a fabulous place called Mai Tai (or something similiar).

The Spanish tapas place along Winter Hey Lane is good too.  Though it gets busy and they don't have enough staff so I would suggest avoiding going there at the week end, we had to wait ridiculously long time for the bill when we went. there.

If you're looking for somewhere to go lunch times then you can drive out towards Bolton along Chorley Old Road and there's a very nice pub (more of an eating place than a drinking place) called The Blundell Arms.  There are fantastic views from there.

Erm, that's all I can think of for now.  I've never been particularly bowled over by Italian restaurants so I can't comment on those.

Have fun eating out in Horwich.

  3. Most of the best restaurants in Bolton (award-winning) are Italian. This is includes Baraccos, Casta Nostra, La Scala and Leos (in horwich).

  4. indoors with your doors firmly bolted

  5. ONLY ever eaten in an Indian place and the food was good, but that was 12yrs ago.

  6. Outside of Horwich nearer Bolton

  7. I agree with previous comments. Baroccos has only been opened about five or six years, but the restaurant has been really popular with locals and with people from further a field. If your interested, you really should book well in advance.

I've had a few decent meals in the past at spice valley, which is near the cinema complex but i've not been for a few years now.
