  1. Unfortunately local school systems here are not among the best. There are a few good ones. All in all I would recommend living in southern New Jersey, a short commute away. Unlike Pennsylvania, New Jersey has not short funded schools for the most part. The suburbs of Haddonfield, Marlton and Moorestown are among the best. For diversity, Moorestown is most diverse...which isn't saying a lot, but at least closely proportionate to the general demographic breakdown...  Finding a safe diverse school/quality education/safe place to live in the Philadelphia area is pretty much impossible. It's very segregated here in terms of quality of education. I would bag the diversity aspect and allow your kids the access to quality education in a safe environment. Most kids in school are pretty embracing of minorities these days. Good luck!
