Where are the best places to shop in Hamburg?

Question

I'm a fashion student so I'll be looking for inspiration, cheap!! clothes (as a student I'm very poor!) and interesting shops that I wouldn't find in Britain. Thanks!

When i was living in Hamburg, I loved to shop in Schanzenviertel. They've got loads of small shops, vintage and designer, cheap and expensive and you often can find smth there you'll never find anywhere else.

Karoviertel is also very worth checking. They've got loads of cool alternative fashion shops there too.

Hamburg has many Shopping Malls where you can find a great

deal on affordable clothes. Avoid Boutiques,there are often very expensive.

Monkeberg Strasse is the place to go, it is their equivalent to Oxford Street and many a fine bargain can be found there. Also there are some good shops in Altona.
