Where are the best places to visit in Ireland?

There are too many and missing some will cause to want to visit twice!  You could plan route starting at say Dublin and work your way in a circle to Kildare, Cork, Limerick, Galway, Sligo, etc.

You really could ask yourself, what do you want to see and make a list.  

Do you want to stick with urban cities with trendy shopping and theaters, tourism, and public transport?  

Do you want to get completely removed from everything and head to a town with a single bed and breakfast and get back to nature?

Perhaps get so into the people and land that you set up a volunteer gig ahead of time so you're with the locals doing local things.

Maybe you're looking for castles or long lost relatives' towns?

I'd imagine you'd want to do mixture if you have the time.
