  1. Glendalough, Ring of Kerry, some of the Arran Island, and the two cities to see are Dublin and Galway.

  3. I think that the best part of Ireland for tourists and nontourists alike is the scenery.  If you travel in the countryside on a day that is not rainy and look at the moss-covered mountains, you know why Ireland is called "The Emerald Isle".  The county of Cork has particularly nice scenery and beautiful mountains.  The Lakes of Killarney are situated in County Kerry, which is close to County Cork.  They are very scenic and frequently are the subject of paintings and photographs.  I think you should make a point of making it out at least that far.  If you stay in Dublin the whole time, you willl miss a lot.

I was in County Kerry but unfortunately somehow did not get around to seeing the actual Ring of Kerry.  I hear it also is very scenic.  Hopefully I will get another opportunity  to see it.  The city of Tralee will give you a nice view of the Vale of Tralee and the mist in the bay.  You might have heard of it from the song 'The Rose of Tralee'.

If you can make it to Galway, a bit further north, you should take up the opportunity.  The cliffs and other scenery are said to be spectacular.  I did not make it that far north myself, but I have heard a lot about them.

Try to see at least one castle as well.

    Have a lot of fun!

  6. If you are driving in mid summer you can see a lot in Ireland as it stays light till so late. There a lots of castles - we enjoyed Bunratty Castle, Killarney and the Dingle Peninsula are very beautiful, Galway, The cliffs of Moher in County Clare. Frankly Dublin was the least interesting part.A circle route would be much more interesting.

Hope you have a nice week. It can be cold even in summer!
