Where are the best quirky places to go for a night out in London?

It's my 18th on the 30th August and a few of my girls and I would like to go to London to celebrate it. I don't think I'd be into full on, heavy clubbing, but would like to find an area with some nice little clubs and bars (not too posh!) ... maybe a few reggae bars and stuff. So does anyone know a particularly good area to find some? Or a particular place to go? Thank you..!

  1. It's not reggae but the Roller Disco in Vauxhall is a fun night out!

  2. Hi!

I don't know any reggae bars/clubs, so I'm afraid I can't help with that, but if you want somewhere a bit different for a night out, I can highly recommend the Medieval Banquet in St. Katherine's Dock.

A group of 12 of us went there recently for a Hen Night and we had the best laugh for years!  The staff are great, the entertainment is superb, the food is very tasty and the alcohol.....well, as soon as the carafe of wine or jug of beer is empty, the serving wenches take it away and bring you a new one!!!  All for £38 per head (if you book online), which I think is brilliant value for money.  The entertainment finishes at about 11pm, after which you can boogie on down for another hour, then you'll still have chance to go to a club from there!  There are also some great bars around St. Katherine's Dock where you could head for a drink first, including the Prohibition Bar which has a cocktail happy hour.

Whatever you decide to do, Happy Birthday for the 30th and I hope you and your mates have a great time!

  4. It's not a reggae bar, but a really quirky place to go with friends is Shunt Vaults, in a cave-like cavern at London Bridge! Very cool. Read more about it here
