I have a bit of an opton for a winter holiday this year.....but in September. I live in Queensland

I can go on the School Ski Trip which will take us to Perisher Blue or my dad says that if I want to, we can take a ski trip of our own.

He said that I should do some researching and see if a ski trip of our own is a good idea or if I should just go with the school (school trip at the moment is $900 for 7 days with meals, equipment, beginner classes and accommodation)

so, where would the best place to go (NSW, VIC....what slopes)

we are beginners, I have never seen snow in my life and my dad has not been since he was a kid either.....

thanks!

  1. Aaaah, that's too cute ... I grew up in the east of England and am well used to snow :)

I live in Oz now but haven't been to the snow here - so if nobody here gives you any personal recommendations, I suggest you check out some traveller reviews like the ones below.

Dress up warm now and don't forget the sunnies - the glare from the snow can really hurt your eyes! Have fun.

  2. Perisher Blue is supposed to be awesome. I went to Mt Buller last year.. It was the best! Lots of snow, blue skies, sunshine... perfect!

Anyway good luck and have fun on your trip!

Oh PS I hadn't even seen snow before we went, I got lessons which were great and I could ski reasonably well by the time we left.
