Where are the different ethnic restaurant areas in Sydney and what restaurant do you suggest?

  1. Chinatown is on Sussex St in Haymarket (plus surrounding streets), and there's a wide variety of Chinese restaurants and food-halls. Close-by, the tiny Spanish quarter is really just a few restaurants and bars on Liverpool St near corner of George St. For Italian try Norton Street, Leichhardt (the Italian Forum is on corner of Parramatta Rd and has lots of good Italian eateries).

    There's some good Vietnamese and other south-east Asian food around Cabramatta, and there's some great Lebanese food on Cleveland St Surry Hills (try Fatimas or Habibis) or out in south-western Sydney near Bankstown.
