Where are the flying cockroaches coming from?

I get visited by about one of these every night, and they all have wings so I guess they're adults. All of the ones I have seen are the same size, about 1 inch. My apartment is very clean and cool. I have no idea where these things are coming from. They just fly into the bedroom between 9-11 PM usually. They're pretty clumsy at flying, always bumping the walls. They don't fly when they're on the carpet or floor. They're always in the open, not hidden in drawers/cabinets, etc. I just spray some Raid and they go crazy for a few seconds before dying. Where do they come from and how do I stop them?

  1. they probably are coming from another apartment. tell your landowner and ask if any other residents have the same problem.Cockroaches will spread from one place to the places around they can take over a building in about 4 months.

  2. Aren't they just horrible?  They are what we in Texas call a tree roach.  Usually they stay outside unless, it hasn't rained lately.  That's when they decide to come in.  Be very careful though, most of the time they come in pairs, and when you try to kill one's mate the other comes at you.  I had one do that to me and it scared the c**p out of me.

  3. sounds like one of the outdoor species of roach finding it's way inside.  The exterior of the building along with entry points such as windows, doors, plumbing should be treated with a residual insecticide.
