I mean the one's the locals would go to where you get a great meal for what you pay for. not some hotel retaurant where their food tastes like cardboard and has a $100 bill attached to each bite.

  1. Hi, In  NYC like in many capitals in the world, if you want a very good meal, you must pay for it, from a long time on this  yahoo/answer we gave many addresses, stared, not stared, with famous Chefs or less famous. For your lunch, there are many very good which have a Menu, affordable, delicious, it depends of your budget, why to ask some addresses if you say firstly the price, there are many "guides like Michelin", me I like much François Payard a very very good Chef with cafe/tea room good pastries, good wines, when I want have a quick lunch very good  I go to "Katz's", a steack House in Brooklyn Peter Luger, a Mexican "Del Valle", Italian Gigino's, a brunch "Balthazar", with celebrities Philip Marie with live music, you have a large choice, in NYC it's impossible to eat badly,  Enjoy your meal !

  4. Try Kean's Steakhouse on I believe it is 58th??? It's close to Macy's.  Some of the best seafood, bread, and vegetable (they give you those for free at the beginning).  The salmon is like 20-30 dollars, but the steak looked really good.  Just don't get the Kobiashi Steak, its 135 dollars.

  5. Try Rue 57 on 57th street and 6th ave.  Prices are reasonable for NYC and the place often has celebrites in it.
