I'm looking preferably for estuaries. I'm doing a report on the Chesapeake Bay and I need something to compare it to.

I know the Gulf of Mexico is one of most notorious dead zones, but I'm not sure if I should use this one because I want to compare to something outside of the US.

  1. I feel it is better if you come to India. Having surrounded by sea all the three sides, bay of bengal in east, Arabian sea on west, and Indian ocean on north, a long cost line (see map) being a developing country, all type of industries are settled in coastal region. High pollution, due to discharge of industrial wastes to sea, our fisher men are facing draught.

You can take help of many NGOs, who are fighting, to save the sea from pollution. But more and more are being setting up every day. You are sure to get valuable information, in India. We welcome you. If it is not possible for you to come down to India, you can collect the research material, from net.  I shall provide you all the details, if required. Good luck.
