  1. Gozo is a magnificent small island where time stopped about 30yrs ago! You can travel to Gozo ( from Malta) either by helicopter or by ferry. I would recommend you take the ferry  (20 mins) cos its cheaper and the views of the Mediterranean are the other sister island - Comino  - are magnificent. Once in Gozo you'll enjoy the villages of Marsalforn and Xlendi and be sure to go to Dwejra to see the Azure window - here's a pic..

Also go to the market on Sunday morning & have a look at the Citadel ...both at the capital of Gozo - Vittoriosa (aka Rabat) Also visit the prehistoric temples in Ggantija.

I would spend the rest of the holiday swimming and relaxing at the sandy beaches - nicestest ones are Ramla and Mgarr ix-xini. Enjoy! ps Don't forget to take a ferry boat for a day in Comino and swim in the magnificent waters of the Blue lagoon!

  2. I've been to Malta twice.  I've been to Gozo once on a bus trip.  As I recall it is quite barren.  We stopped at a tourist shop that sells laces, knits, tableclothes and a very small museum.  I stay in Mellieha w/an English friend.  There is a bluff looking out at the ocean where ship pass.  If you go to the bus stop near the church w/the ancient underground grotto to St. Paul, there is an overpass, not a bridge, going over a tiny gully.  Do not take the road down to the beach.Walk straight ahead to a broad set of steps.  Keep going towards the left and up once up the stairs.  The bluff is is a residential neighborhood.  The wind blows and the view is beautify.  I would sit and enjoy quiet time there.
