Where are the most haunted places in North West England?

My mum and I are planning on going on an overnight ghost walk. We have been looking on the internet to try and find the most haunted places in our local area; however it is harder than we thought. We are looking at the 'north west spirit seekers' events to try and find a good place to go with a date that suits us. None of them seem to be very exciting and I would love to find a great place to experience paranormal activity. Please help. Can you tell me some of the best, haunted places in North West England; that you can go to? Thank you.
