What cities on the east coast of Ireland are particularly beautiful? Which ones are near both large forests and open fields that someone can legally walk in? Which have cliffs on the ocean? Which have nice beaches? What places have the oldest and most beautiful architecture? Last (and least important), which ones are also near a larger city to shop in?

  1. In Dublin, The best night life is definitely in Temple Bar.

If you want a relaxing, quiet stay in the country or enjoy the scenery, then any parts of the country will do it for you really like Donegal, Galway, Clare, Mayo etc.

If you want a shopping, busy, touristy stay then anywhere (or most places) in Dublin will do it for you.

A town in Kerry (the South of Ireland, It’s beside Cork too) called Tralee is very touristy. It is the largest town in Ireland.

It has many attractions and loads of shops and a great night life.

It’s great for young people and people with small families. It suits everyone.

It has an aqua dome swimming pool which is always packed and outside the pool, You can play crazy Golf.

Here is a site on Tralee:  http://www.tralee-insight.com/

  2. Every bit of the Emerald Isle has its own fascination, you must feel your way round.Ireland is all about emotion, you must know the history and hardship, then you can feel the pain and get a feeling of belonging. The old storytellers are very hard to find,i consider myself blessed at having found and listened to most of them,no treasure is easy to find. For me to single out any place or item of interest ,would be a crime of which i cannot be found guilty. You will find your own treasures, all the sweeter for the personal discovery, but you must see past what is there in front of you,you must have the sight. One thing you cannot help noticing ,is the difference between Belfast and Dublin.I spent many happy hours listening to the penny whistle player in the passageways of Dublin, you may hear the haunting music dancing through the air,but finding the pipe player is another matter.GOOD LUCK,YOU WILL HAVE A GOOD TIME.

  3. i go to dublin myself irish people are really friendly too

  4. Mountains of Mourne (which sweep down to the sea!!) and the coats road through the glens of antrim. Spectacular and both on the east coast.

Strange how everyone seems to forget those places in the north east that are basically more beautiful than those areas of the south...

...only two major cities on the east coast? I think you'll find that Belfast is on the east coast.

  5. On the east cost, any where in Wicklow/Wexford /Waterford.   The east coast doesn't really have dramatic cliffs, but does have gorgeous beaches and beautiful mountains.  Dublin's the place to be for shopping.

  6. There are only 2 major cities on the East coast, Waterford and Dublin, All of the East coast has the things you wish for within 2/3 hours of both.
