  1. Quite a few nice towns and cities to see.

I like Breda...near the coast too.

    Utrecht is ok

Arnhem and Eindhoven are nice too.

Visit the amusement park between Tilburg and Breda.

    Train up north to Gronnigen.........

    Do Amsterdam if you must....

  2. Go see the tulip field.  Go watch them make cheese...

and oh, a must.....go to the Ann Frank Museum!

I did not go to the museum and I kick myself everyday wishing I had!!!

There is so much to see and do in Holland!!  I want to go back to Holland one day!  I loved it!!!!

    Have a wonderful time there!!!!

  3. The project . sea defence works . Lots of nice towns in Holland , just jump on a train . Delft is one of my favourite towns .

  4. Depends what you like.

    If you like cities:

    - Amsterdam (very touristy but has a lot to offer)

    http://www.amsterdam.info/sights/

    - Rotterdam (far less touristy and more modern architecture since the Germans have completely bombed the city centre in WW2)

    - Utrecht (nice channels, has similarities with the old buildings of Amsterdam, though far less touristy and smaller)

    - Den Haag (Den Hague) is where our government settles

If you like nature and countrysites:

    - the province of Drenthe (beautiful nature, very old typical farmers buildings, old celtic burial grounds)

    - the province of Zeeland (sea, dunes, great fish to eat, lovely villages)

    Then some typical tourist things:

    - fields of tulips and flowers in the province of North Holland (check out the 'Keukenhof')

    - Kinderdijk (the most concentrated place for windmills)

    - Cheese market of Alkmaar

    - Amusementpark the Efteling

  5. 1. The Hague is lovely, so hire a bike and cycle around. You can cycle to Scheveningen which is the beach resort. Only takes about 10 minutes to cycle there.  The woodland areas are also lovely. Mauritshuis is a fine museum. (contains Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring) Escher palace has all the MC Escher works.

    2. Go to Rotterdam, hire a bike there, get a map, and cycle to Kinderdijk, where they have about 18 windmills in a row. Take yr camera.

    3. Leiden is a cute university town

    4. Delft is a good day-trip. Although the pottery factory is a bit of a let-down.

    5. Haarlem is also pretty.

What are your particular interests in general?  Holland is diverse, and has something for everyone.

  6. Rotterdam - Euromast (great view of the city)

    Alkmaar - the cheese market

    Groningen - nice city + the seals-creche

Province Zeeland - there you can admire some of the most amazing waterworks in the world + eat oysters

The Hague - visit Madurodam (Holland in miniature, a very interesting exhibition)

Amsterdam - Dam Square, Madame Tussaud (pretty expensive), the museum of s*x, s*x theaters, flower market, etc.

  7. You should visit Maastricht in limburg.  Great place to go out and have some drinks on the Vrijthof. And we Limburgers are very nice people....

  8. The Cafe's

    Dam Square
