  3. I can't speak for anyone else in the U.K. but I live in where I consider the nicest place, in Cornwall, in a small rural village, surrounded by gorgeous countryside, it's peaceful, safe, and definitely the ONLY place on earth I would live. I would guess it isn't everybody's "cup of tea" though, as different people like different things, and my best friend who lives in the Midlands would agree, as she is a "Townie" and prefers the hustle, and bustle of the busy Towns, and Cities. It's up to you, but there ARE some lovely places in England to live, and good luck in finding somewhere.

Oh, and Greenorlagh.......................... Not a "hoodie" for miles, and havn't heard of any stabbings where I live recently (or ever) Maybe when you have visited the WHOLE of England, you will be more qualified to comment!!! You're a very bitter, and immature little person aren't you?? Oh, and by the way, I speak with a Southern  Irish accent, so is it THEIR turn to be insulted now???

  4. I am based in Manchester studying for a degree... I would say that the best places to stay would be either at Oxford if you prefer a slower more relaxed kind of life, with nature and a small city feel, or if you like large cities, then London would be more interesting, accessible and very popular.

The nicest place would be the lake district if you like scenery, but I don't think you'd like to live there unless you intend on retiring and living in the countryside or so. Cheers!

  5. I'm going to suggest south of the Midlands (which as the name suggests is in the middle).

Of course it all depends on your budget, just like in other countries the nice bits are the most expensive.

  6. Best places in the UK are all outside England. Scotland, N Ireland and Wales are all twenty times better than anywhere in England - it's full of hoodies stabbing each other, especially in Cornwall where after stabbing you they talk in quite an unintelligible accent.

  7. Cardiff is a great place to live. Not too expensive, really nice, lots to do.

    Oxford, as someone above said.

((Possibly Redlands or Clifton in Bristol if you're rich, the Cotswolds if you want the countryside, Cornwall if you want the coast.))
