Question:

Where are the remaining Toronto moose sculptures?

I'm planning a scavenger hunt for a group of youth. I'm wondering if anybody has recently seen any moose sculptures from the "Moose in the City" thing from a few years ago, and remembers where they are. I know of one near Moore and Bayview - are there any others in public places?

  1. I think there's one in one of the lobbies of the Convention Centre downtown, and I recall seeing one on the DVP just south of Sheppard.

Halifax had a similar event a few years back featuring lobsters, although not with standing claws.

  2. There is one in front of a business along the 400.  It is on the east side of the highway, just below Finch Ave.  Sorry, but I can't remember the name of the business it is in front of.  It is a blind manufacturer I believe.  It has a sort of patchwork colouring to it.  There's also one in front of the Four Points Hotel on Lakeshore at Windermere.

  3. I remember there used to be one at the Kennedy Commons plaza, I'm not sure if it's there anymore. There is a penguin sculpture in the plaza near Morningside.

Kennedy Commons: 33 William Kitchen Rd., Scarborough

  4. they've been sold to all sorts of places.

I know i've seen one on top of a business in mississauga/borderline oakville.

I heard that some engineering students at u of t put one on top of a bridge?

  5. There's one on the second floor balcony of a house at College and Augusta. Don't know how they got it up there. There's also one in front of a store on Dundas between St. Patrick station and Dundas station. Can't remember where exactly though.
