I use a wave created by my specialized Centurion wake board boat.  It creats a nice consistent wave, at least a 1/4 pipe.  The back of the boat floods and lowers so that the back end cuts in the water creating a wave to surf on. I don't even need to hold onto the rope and you can go for a long time, much longer than actual natural wave surfing.  I can do it on any lake.  It is awesome!
