Question:

Where are these parts?

The gas is spitting out of the carbeurator on my riding mower. I believe the problem is the needle and seat controls but I don't know where they are located and how to replace them. Any ideas or additional suggestions would be appreciated.

  1. They're inside the carb. You'll have to remove the carb and open it up to access them. You've probably got a float with a small hole in it which is holding the needle valve open.

  2. Some times the float gets stuck, tap the carb with the handle of large screwdriver to see if it frees itself before removing it etc.

  3. I think it would be a good idea to visually inspect the carburetor area and fuel lines. to find where the fuel is coming from before I did anything.
