as we know that nuclear powerplants and many other elements which produce radiations are a good source of energy, as also in future they are going to play a vital role in producing different kind of energy. so if they are used in abundance where are we supposed to dump the rest of the used element. so that it does not harm the enviornment

  2. There are several possible solutions to this.  The currently used method is to bury the spent waste in sealed containers.  In the US they are working on a very complex method of placing the waste into a concrete tomb far beneath Yucca Mountain in Nevada.

Another very possible disposal site being looked into by scientists from Japan is at sea.  The subductive waste disposal method involves placing the waste at a point where the tectonic plates of the earth's crust meet.  One plate slides under the other and is recycled by the earth's molten core.  The waste would be placed 2000 meters beneath the ocean floor and slowly recycled and it was covered by the plate movement.

Many people often list the idea of shooting the waste off-world and towards the sun,  but the risk of launching a rocket with a payload of nuclear waste into the air with even the slightest chance of an accident seems like excessive risk.  If a rocket were to explode nuclear waste would be spread over a very large area depending on how high up the rocket was when the accident happened.
