  1. There IS no discernible centre of the Universe. The Universe is expanding equally in all directions. From our own point of view, the rest of the Universe appears to be expanding away from US. Are we the centre of the Universe? Unlikely.

We are only at the centre of our OBSERVABLE Universe.

Apparently, there is considerable scientific evidence to suggest a black hole at the centre of the Galaxy. I don't know what that evidence is, but I don't have any reason to doubt it at the moment...

  2. How the h**l are we supposed to know?!?

  3. Well, since I'm the center of the universe- and I'm on Earth... that means the Earth is the center of the universe. :)

  4. We are in the outer suburbs

  5. unscientifically, i think life is the center. the sun is like your furnace,...,  the soil is like your fridge,..., and ...,

i think i have seen a drawing like you are describing, and the info with it was exciting, but i don't know how they could have determined that. the human eye may not be the best resource to determine all truth.

therefore i don't believe there is a black hole in the center and i don't think the grave is the end either.

  6. The center of the universe IS the universe. The actual center can only be realized in the 4th dimension.

  7. Every place in the universe is the center.

  8. There is no center to the universe to be in comparison to. All points in the universe are more or less equivalent. There is no center; there is no boundary. It is either infinite in size or finite, but curved back on itself so that if you rocketed in a straight line for long enough, you would eventually get back to where you started from.

  9. When we look at maps of the cosmic background radiation, it appears to be uniform in every direction. That would seem to indicate that we are in the center of the universe. If that were true, given the sheer enormity of the visible universe, it would be an amazing quirk of fate. I find this a little difficult to believe as do many astronomers and cosmologists. However, from what I have read, trying to find the edge of the universe is like a two dimensional being traveling around on the surface of a three dimensional object, like a round ball, and trying to find the edge. You could travel forever and never fall off the edge because there isn't one even though it's a finite object. Furthermore, with the universe expanding the way that it appears to be, no matter where you were, you would appear to be in the center of the universe. Obviously there is a lot we don't understand about the structure of the cosmos.

As far as a black hole in the center of the universe? If we don't know where the center is, it's hard to say.
