Where are you living at in Louisiana, and where will you go if you evacuate for Gustav? ?

I'm in Slidell, but born and raised in Atlanta. Will probably go back there if I evacuate. Been here since Katrina. And since i was in that one, I don't wanna stick around for this one if it hits.

  1. IM PUTTING MORGAN CITY ON THE MAP.  i am evacuating to the gulf of mexico to ride out the hurricane on a derrick barge .  that just sounds dangerous.  oh well, mo money mo problems.  


  2. i spent my whole life in St. Bernard Parish until Katrina (lost everything) now we relocated to harvey (hoping not to lose everything) but if i do i will not be back! i cant lose everything i own that many times in one lifetime!

  3. I live in Pointe Coupee Parish and if we have to evacuate we will head to Arkansas with our camper. I really do not wish this storm to hit anywhere but I do not want it to hit us. I am a new mom with a 5 month old and I am in a panic about what to do. We are keeping a watch on the weather channel and will evacuate if it is coming because of my baby

  4. We are in Livingston Parish and going to stick it out. We did during Katrina. They started sending buses to NOLA today to evacuate. Good luck to everyone and stay safe. I hope no one has any damage especially NOLA and the Gulf Coast states hit last time.

    Oh, I heard all hotels are booked up from here to Tennessee so good luck!

    Im either going to North Lousisana, mississippi, or houston.

  6. I am headed to Los Angeles to hopefully take my mind off of all of this. This is my second home. Been down here since 2003. If the storm causes catastrophic damage I am going to move back home.

    Just don't wait til the last minute to leave.

    If it turns into a high 3 or above, I'm heading to TX.

    I'm on the North Shore, but lived in New Orleans for most of my life. Have seen a few hurricanes come and go....

  11. I live in New Iberia - in a flood zone. :( I will be going up north to Ruston, LA to stay with my family there. I wish I lived there now!!

  12. UpTown. I don't think I'm going to evacuate but if I do I'll go to St. Charles Parish. It's not really far enough to consider it evacuating but at least I'll be with my family.

  13. My family still lives in New Orleans and surrounding areas.  I now live in Birmingham.  I have offered my family to come here to wait out the storms rage.  I hope they take me up on it.  I would hate to have the same problems as Katrina.

  14. i live in the eastern part of New Orleans, my house was completely in the inside after Katrina and Rita we just moved back in the beginning of the year and now this i just pray its turns at the last second or, something. But my family will probably try and go to Texas for the strom

  16. I'm in Jefferson Parish ( Kenner ) and will ride this one out, ONLY because I CAN'T find a room ANYWHERE!! I did book early, Sun - Tues, but then Gustav slowed down, now I don't need the room UNTIL probably Tues on. And of course, the room is booked from Tuesday on. What a MESS!  

  17. I am away from New Orleans for work.  Some of my family will go to Baton Rouge and others will go to Alexandria.  Realtives in both cities.
